ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Historic private rail cars will be on display near the Alvarado Transportation Center on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

“We anticipate about a one-hour tour, it's only 20 bucks, it's worth every single penny of it and you get to see seven cars all with unique history and heritage,” said Taylor Johnson, chairperson for 42nd annual American Association Of Private Railroad Car Owners.

One of those cars is the silver meteor.

Owner, Keith White, is all too happy to welcome guests.

“I'm also the porter, I'm also the gopher, I'm the mechanic for the car, I'm the plumber,” he said.

Along the journey to Albuquerque, white picked up passengers from the Midwest.

“My passengers are having a ball! They love New Mexico, I love New Mexico - some of the nicest people in the world, right here in Albuquerque. I've met nothing but wonderful people here,” White said.

Keith says that's what this rail car community is all about.

“I have a ball just seeing the smiles on people's faces as they had a good time riding my car,” said White.
