One dead following shooting in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – One person is dead following a shooting in northeast Albuquerque late Monday night.

It happened at the Smith's grocery store at Constitution and Carlisle. Police responded to a shots-fired call just before 10 p.m. When they arrived, they found one person unresponsive, with evidence of trauma. Paramedics with the Albuquerque Fire Department arrived on scene and determined the subject was deceased.

Police have launched a homicide investigation and do not have any persons of interest at this time.
