APD investigates homicide in southeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Police are investigating a homicide in southeast Albuquerque. Officers were called to the area of Elm and Lead just after 8 a.m. in southeast Albuquerque in reference to a suspicious person.

The caller told dispatchers that a man was lying in a loading dock area with blood surrounding him.

Police say they arrived on scene to discover a man dead, and a trail of blood leading from the body and along the sidewalk out on to Elm. APD tells KOB the man had signs of trauma.

Investigators completed their preliminary investigation, canvassing the area for potential witnesses and conducting interviews.

At this time, a cause of death has not been determined and no persons of interest have been identified.
