ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico has been home to the Lobos for nearly 130 years, but how often do you see a real lobo on campus?

Once a year, the Biology Undergraduate Society brings wolves onto campus for Wolf Fest with the goal of providing awareness about wildlife conservation.

"With all this climate change and global warming that's occurring, we have to maintain diversity in our environment," one of the group's members said.

The wolves on campus Friday included Angel – an Arctic wolf – and Bindi, a coyote/wolf mix.

Students were able to take pictures with the wolves as well as provide donations to local wolf rescues.
