Jesse Herron, who co-founded Albuquerque Tourism and Sightseeing Factory, is launching ABQ-in-a-Box.

"People who have kind of grew up in Albuquerque or have lived here and since moved away, it's kind of a way to give them kind of a taste of home," he said.

The items in the box include products from local businesses: Rude Boy Cookie's biscochitos, Pinion Coffee from Sol Rio Coffee, El Pinto's green and red chile. Customers will also get a New Mexico-shaped cookie cutter and a green chile scented air freshener.

Herron said the holiday box is just a taste of what's to come next year.

"In 2019, we have plans to do a box that you can actually customize. You build a box, you're picking your favorite salsa to send to somebody, or a Breaking Bad item also some curated boxes by some famous Albuquerque locals as well," Herron said.

The cost of the box is $45.

Herron said people should order by Dec. 20 if they want it to be sent as a Christmas gift.
