ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Surrounded by 360-degree views of the East Mountains and Albuquerque, you're not going to find anything on the real estate market quite like the Sandia Crest House.

"There is 6,000 (square) feet upstairs between the cafe and the gift shop, as well as 3,000 downstairs that consists of a two-bedroom apartment and a separate one-bedroom apartment," said Guy Gemmer, a local qualifying broker.

Gemmer said this giant property can be overwhelming for some clients.

"Many people look at what am I going to do with a house this big at the top of a mountain," he said.

The gift shop was built in the 1950s and has expanded over the years, but Gemmer said the property's potential is almost limitless.

"I think one of the coolest things about this property is that you not only have the ability to live at the top of a mountain, but you also have the ability to run a business there as well," he said.

If you chose to live here, you'd have to get used to having lots of visitors and you'll have to let the Forest Service use a small section as an information center.

At the recently reduced price of $379,000 dollars, you could say it's a steal for all that square footage and breathtaking views.
