Police recover nearly $30,000 in stolen cellphones

LOS LUNAS, N.M. - Los Lunas police have recovered nearly $30,000 worth of cell phones with the help of Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputies, following an armed robbery last week.


It happened June 6 at the Verizon Wireless on Main Street in Los Lunas at approximately 9 p.m.

Officers responded to the area to search for two male suspects who were said to have pulled guns on store employees and demanded cellphones.

One of the suspects has been identified, but the other suspect is still at large. He was caught on camera by surveillance cameras at the store.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
