Police were called out to 8620 Silk Tassel NW at 12:52 a.m. in regard to a woman who was found dead inside the residence. She was later identified as 53-year-old Yvette Montoya.

According to court documents, Miller admitted to punching his wife late Saturday night. When she ran for the door, Miller reportedly told police he grabbed a "large statue" and beat her with it. He then called 911 and repeatedly said, "I just killed my wife."

Miller has been charged with an open count of first-degree murder. His first court appearance, which was scheduled for Monday, was delayed for medical reasons.
