ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A man is in jail after shooting his gun out the window of a moving vehicle right in front of a police officer.

No one was injured in the incident.

Albuquerque Police says an officer was on Sage Road in southwest Albuquerque when he heard several gunshots from a truck. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and caught up with 23-year-old Miguel Gachuzo—a passenger in the vehicle.

According to a criminal complaint, Gachuzo told police he was excited about his new gun and wanted to shoot it.

He's now facing a charge of shooting from a motor vehicle.
