ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - It's been four years since Duke, a little Yorkshire Terrier, went missing from his owner's home. Just yesterday, the two were reunited here in Albuquerque.

Officials say they received a report in October that Duke had been found when another person tried to have him registered under their name.

Working side-by-side, animal welfare officers, the dog's owner, and the microchip company were able to get Duke back home.

Animal Welfare officials say Duke's owner, Jennifer, hadn't given up hope in finding him. In fact, she has kept his collar and tag through all of these years and several moves.

Jennifer now lives in Florida but made the trip to Albuquerque for the reunion.

Duke, is now 11.
