ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Mosquitoes capable of transmitting the Zika virus has been found in Bernalillo County.

New Mexico Department of Health officials say the mosquitoes were located in Albuquerque's Bosque.

Mosquitoes that can carry the Zika virus have now been found in 15 New Mexico counties.

Health officials say there have been no cases of mosquitoes transmitting Zika in New Mexico and the risk is very low.

Zika has been linked to certain birth defects.
