ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A motorcyclist died after a collision with a vehicle in northeast Albuquerque on Thursday, according to Albuquerque police.

APD officer Daren DeAguero said the crash happened around 7:35 p.m. on Montgomery Boulevard near the Lovelace hospital. He said a vehicle pulled into the hospital's parking lot as the motorcycle headed west. At that point, they collided

The motorcyclist was taken to UNM Hospital in critical condition, and he died at the hospital. The victim's name was not released. The driver of the other car had minimal injuries.

Police shut down westbound Montgomery to investigate. DeAguero said alcohol did not play a factor in the crash.
