New Mexico experiences fire and ice as weekend looms

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Need more proof of New Mexico's unpredictability when it comes to weather?

As different fires burned a collective 62,000+ acres in southeast and eastern New Mexico, leading to the evacuation of nearby homes, other parts of the state experienced rare mid-April snow.

Belen, Springer and Rio Rancho were some of the cities that saw snowfall to varying degrees as the work week came to an end, as KOB viewers sent in pictures and video of the weather trends.
