New Mexico reports 11 new deaths, 3,370 additional COVID-19 cases over three-day period

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) reported 11 additional COVID-19-related deaths in a report that combines the data from Saturday through Monday.

The latest deaths include:

Nine recent deaths:

  • A male in his 70s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 70s from Chaves County.
  • A male in his 70s from Eddy County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 30s from Lea County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 20s from McKinley County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 70s from Otero County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 60s from San Juan County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 70s from San Juan County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 50s from Santa Fe County. The individual was hospitalized.

Two* deaths > 30 days:

  • A male in his 30s from Cibola County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 40s from San Juan County.

The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 5,124.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 3,370 additional COVID-19 cases over the three-day period. New Mexico has reported a total of 286,086 cases.

  • 7 new cases among New Mexico Corrections Department inmates at the Penitentiary of New Mexico in Santa Fe County
  • 2 new cases among New Mexico Corrections Department inmates at the Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility in Doña Ana County
