New Mexico reports 36 new deaths, 2,514 additional COVID-19 cases

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico Department of Health reported 36 additional COVID-19-related deaths Wednesday.

The latest deaths include:

24 recent deaths:

  • A male in his 40s from Bernalillo County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 50s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A second male in his 50s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A female in her 80s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A second female in her 80s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A third female in her 80s from Bernalillo County.
  • A female in her 90s from Bernalillo County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 60s from Chaves County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 70s from Chaves County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A female in her 60s from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 80s from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 90s from Doña Ana County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 60s from Eddy County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 50s from Otero County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A female in her 80s from Rio Arriba County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 20s from Sandoval County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 40s from San Juan County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 60s from San Juan County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 60s from San Miguel County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 80s from San Miguel County. The individual had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 60s from Sierra County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A female in her 60s from Valencia County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
  • A male in his 40s from Valencia County. The individual was hospitalized.

The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 5,933.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 2,514 additional COVID-19 cases. As of Wednesday, New Mexico has reported a total of 361,629 cases.
