ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - A new development is going to be built near Central and Unser.

Nuevo Atrisco will feature 88 housing units, 80,000 square feet of retail development, and more than 10,000 of retail space.

Developers are working to attract unique retailers, unlike anything Albuquerque has seen before.

“We basically want this to be a major activity center,” said Albuquerque City Councilor Ken Sanchez.

From the new dining options to a splash pad and an outdoor market, the plan is for Nuevo Atrisco to offer something for everyone.

“Residents will be able to capture the beauty of Albuquerque because you'll almost get a 360 view of the Sandia Mountains, the Manzano Mountains, you’ll probably see the Jemez, pretty far south, and west, the Petroglyphs,” said developer Chris Baca.

The development is expected to be completed in 2020.
