ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The driver who allegedly caused a deadly crash in Rio Rancho three months ago was arrested Sunday.

55-year-old Dwight David Weir is facing a long list of charges including homicide by vehicle. State police said Weir admitted to using meth before he veered into the wrong lane and crashed head-on into a police sergeant's patrol vehicle.

The sergeant suffered broken bones, and Weir's passenger, Mark Marquez, was killed in the crash.

Weir was arrested without incident and booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center.
