APD spokesperson Daren DeAguero said that a victim was shot multiple times near the 200 block of Grove Street NE.

Neighbor Linda Kay Roth said that she was in her driveway with some friends who were leaving when she heard "rapid gunfire." She called 911.

"There was a kid in the street so we don't know if he's dead or what, because it was blocked, we couldn't see it," she said. "The ambulance took him away."

The victim has been transported to the hospital. This is an ongoing investigation.
