Annette Rosenow lives in Texas but was arrested and booked into jail in Bernalillo County on Friday. Documents state she failed to call into court about 60 animal-related charges in Torrance County.

Those charges include failing to vaccinate and properly register her animals.

Rosenow hired Sara Mauter to transport her dogs to Texas in April, but police say Mauter instead left the dogs to die in the vehicle. She's being charged with extreme animal cruelty.
