Parents accused of prostituting daughter enter 'not guilty' plea

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The parents arrested and accused of grisly crimes against their 7-year-old daughter have pleaded not guilty.

James Stewart and Teri Sanchez appeared in court for minutes Friday morning.

They are accused of things like forcing their daughter to panhandle and pickpocket, along with forcing her into prostitution.

Stewart is facing 14 charges, including human trafficking, while Sanchez faces five counts of child abuse.

Steward and Sanchez have been ordered to remain in jail until their trial.
