ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Ann Nelson is humble. You won't find her talking about herself or her sacrifices.

That’s why her friend wanted to nominate her for Pay it 4ward.

"This year her neighbors got sick, and she stepped up like no other neighbor I've seen,” said Kyle Williams. “She was taking them to appointments and bringing them food, being a better companion when they were down in the dumps."

Williams said Nelson also helps the homeless and is active with Girl Scouts.

"I've just noticed all the stuff you've been doing for your neighbor and the homeless, girl scouts and the last few years and I just decided you'd be a perfect person for Pay it 4ward,” Williams told Nelson. “I thought you should be recognized.”

Williams handed Nelson 4 $100 bills.

“That's amazing. I don't know what to think about this,” Nelson said
