"It was my sister's anniversary. She died four years ago," Apodaca said.

It was during that visit Apodaca’s daughter’s phone rang.

"I got a call, you know. I got my phone and I picked it up and it said ‘mom,’” Elaine Sanchez said.

Apodaca said that’s when she realized she left her wallet and cellphone on the roof of her car before she drove to the cemetery.

The caller returned her belongings. Nothing was missing.

Apodaca and Sanchez wanted to Pay it 4ward.

"So the reason why we are here, is that you did such an awesome thing by retrieving my mom's wallet and you did the right thing,” Sanchez said. “That was very, very impressive, so what my mom would like to do is Pay it 4ward to you."

Apodaca handed Gabe Grace $400.

"I'm just really glad I was able to get you your property back,” Grace said. “I mean that was my biggest concern."

Grace said he was following the Golden Rule.

"I just, you know, try to be the way I would like other people to be,” Grace said.
