ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A stranger showed up to the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden this weekend and has now just made itself at home. It really couldn’t have picked a much better place to sit and hang out.

"It was clear that it was not native. It was a domestic bird belonging to somebody," said ABQ BioPark Marketing Coordinator Greg Jackson.

And believe it or not, when KOB 4 showed up for the story, so did the bird.

"The last place they saw this exotic bird, that was right here in the Children’s Fantasy Garden,"

If you happen to be missing an exotic bird, give the ABQ BioPark a call.

"Let us know what kind of bird it is, color, size and that can help to identify that this is indeed your bird," said Jackson.

Staff haven’t caught the bird yet, and as of right now, they’re just letting it hang out.

"Unless it decides to leave, we have a pretty decent temporary home for it."
