ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – About 7,000 customers in Albuquerque and Valencia County were without power early Sunday afternoon due to a downed transmission line before PNM restored power to a majority of the affected area a few hours later.

PNM officials say they are investigating what caused the downed line. Meanwhile, as of 4:45 p.m., most of those customers who lost power as a result now have it restored.

The company is also working on restoring power to customers in the area following a handful of "smaller, wind-related outages."
