ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque Police say a Saturday morning crash in northwest Albuquerque that sent one man to the hospital appears to have been the result of a DWI.

The man taken to UNM Hospital was behind the wheel of a Mercury traveling westbound on Irving approaching Unser when police say he crossed over into oncoming traffic, and crashed into another vehicle. That man, who police say may have been drunk, is "not expected to survive."

The occupants of the other vehicle received minor injuries.

Commuters should find alternate routes through the area as APD investigates.
