Police investigate drive-by shooting near UNM

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Albuquerque Police say one man was shot during a drive-by shooting outside of the famous Frontier Restaurant on Central Avenue.

Officers were called to the area near Central and Cornell late Tuesday night and arrived on scene to find the man in front of the restaurant with at least one gunshot wound.

The man was taken to the hospital and an investigation is now underway.

UNM sent out a Lobo Alert warning people to stay away from the area and to be on the lookout for a dark-colored Dodge Challenger.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police.
