Update: Police believe the suspect escaped from the perimeter. APD said NE Impact Detectives will continue to investigate this case.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - People who live in a northeast Albuquerque neighborhood are being asked to stay inside their home.

Albuquerque police have a perimeter set up near Jefferson and McLeod.

APD says a person, who may be armed, ran after a hit-and-run crash.

If anyone sees the suspect, they are encouraged to call 911.
