The Sheriff’s office believes Duwin Perez-Cordova is still in the metro area. They also believe he robbed a business after he was let go Sunday morning.

BCSO Lieutenant Pete Golden says Perez-Cordova has family in the area, but they are cooperating with investigators.

Lieutenant Golden had a warning for anyone who thinks about helping Perez-Cordova avoid capture.

"Anyone who is, we could prove is, helping him hide or continue to be a fugitive from justice would face harboring and aiding a felon, as well as multiple other charges depending on what other circumstances they're in," he said.

There’s now a $1,000 reward for information leading to Perez-Cordova’s arrest.

Perez-Cordova has a violent history that includes aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Police say people should not approach him if they see him.
