Small aircraft crashes near Santa Fe Regional Airport

SANTA FE, N.M. – Multiple Santa Fe agencies responded to a small private aircraft crash.


The General Aviation aircraft crashed just short of runway 2 on approach to the Santa Fe Regional Airport.

According to the FAA, at least one person is reported dead.

Residents in the area reported seeing flames and smoke coming from the crash site.
