ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Snow began to accumulate across New Mexico Wednesday night.

The storm started in the southern part of the state and crept up northward.

By 6 p.m., snow started falling in Albuquerque. The area is expected to see more than an inch snow through Thanksgiving.

Another storm will is expected to hit the area Thanksgiving night, and generate more snow through Saturday.

Drivers should expect to run into slippery road conditions. The New Mexico Department of Transportation has more than 40 snowplows clearing the roads in the metro area. The crews will be working in 12-hour shifts.
