ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- There's new hope for the Casa Esperanza, a nonprofit that was severely damaged by monsoon storms over the summer.

Chrisann Gray, the organization’s executive director, said a lot of hard work has gone in to reopen the facility, which houses seriously ill, low-income patients and families.

"This is a place that provides the comfort and support that patients and families need going through that treatment," Gray said.

Thanks to a $50,000 donation from National Roofing and help from the community, Casa Esperanza hopes to reopen by mid-January.
