ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A man with a history of battery arrests is accused of striking again.

Jesus Zolorzano-Pacheco is suspected of beating a driver who honked at him outside an Albuquerque medical clinic on Feb. 13. According to police, the victim said he tapped the horn to signal that the suspect could cross in front him.

When the victim got out of his car, police say Zolorzano-Pacheco yelled at the victim before grabbing him by the neck, punching him several times in the face, and kicking and kneeing him.

An off-duty crime scene investigator also witnessed the attack, police say. That witness took a picture of the suspect.

Police described the victim as "an elderly male." The victim suffered broken facial bones in the attack. The victim's daughter told police his injuries required two surgeries.

Police identified and arrested Zolorzano-Pacheco this week for aggravated battery inflicting great bodily harm. It comes less than a month after another battery arrest in Valencia County.
