ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque Police have arrested two suspects in the murder of 65-year-old Marilyn Gandert, whose body was found badly burned in Rio Rancho in January.

Annie Rael and Alissa Bickett were quiet when police walked them down the APD headquarters stairs Thursday afternoon. Police say Bickett was Gandert's daughter-in-law, and Rael was her roommate.

They rented a property from Gandert and police say she evicted them three days before she was killed.

Police say they believe the two killed Gandert inside the residence on Taylor Ridge Road before taking her body to Rio Rancho and burning it. They two are facing multiple charges, including murder.
