The 2018 Junior Balloonist Camp is taking place at Balloon Fiesta Park. The teenagers are learning everything about ballooning.

“We're learning a lot about weather, like wind patterns, we're also learning about the science behind the balloon," said one of the teenagers participating in the camp.

For some of the teenagers, this is not their first time dealing with hot air balloons.

“Me and my dad just decided to go chase down a balloon one year. The pilots invited us to help them out one day. So we just started crewing more and more for them as time went along,” the teenager said.

The 2018 Junior Balloonist Camp is full. But parents can learn more about the camp and scholarships to future camps by click on this link.

Steve Stucker will also broadcast live from the 2018 Junior Balloonist Camp Wednesday, July 10. You can watch live on KOB.com/live
