ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Cell phone video shows the aftermath of a burglary at the Lilly Barrack jewelry store in Nob Hill.

Jamie Leeds is one of the store owners. She said she got a call Monday about a possible break-in.

"They had stolen every single layaway, every customer's pieces of jewelry that was dropped off to be repaired, fixed or polished," Leeds said. "They had stolen all jewelry out of the cases."

Thieves broke a window to get into a vacant shop that shares a wall with the jewelry store. The thieves then broke through that wall.

Leeds said the alarm was never triggered, and she guesses they've lost at least $30,000 worth of jewelry.

"Every single piece of Lilly Barrack jewelry is handmade," she said. "There's no two pieces that ever look exactly the same."

Leeds has owned the store for 14 years. She said that Nob Hill crime has really picked up in the last 3 years.
