Two people hospitalized after five-car crash on I-40

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Two people are recovering in the hospital after a crash on I-40, near Carlisle.

The crash, which happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, involved five cars, Albuquerque police said.

The two people who were taken to the hospital were said to have non-life threatening injuries.

Eastbound I-40 was closed for about three hours while crews cleared the scene.
