ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – It looks like the University of New Mexico has received the all-clear for its on-campus taproom.
Just a little more than two months ago, UNM’s Board of Regents put their stamp of approval on the project and last night, the state’s Department of Finance and Administration gave the school the go-ahead to break ground.
The project, which has been two years in the making, will cost about $650,000. The taproom will rotate selections of beer and wine and provide some educational opportunities for students. It will be located in the southeast corner of the school's Student Union Building (SUB).
The Taproom is scheduled to be completed in the fall of this year.
