ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Saturday saw a new festival come to Balloon Fiesta Park to fill the stomachs of hungry patrons, but organizers of the inaugural Viva Pizza Fest may have had their hands full.

The event got off to a rocky start as it was supposed to showcase several Albuquerque pizzerias. However, organizers said it fell short of expectations with the number of vendors, adding the festival "did not hit the mark on how many styles of pizza they wanted to showcase."

To make up for it, VIVA ABQ is now offering two free tickets to these upcoming concerts for those who attended the food festival.

  • Chris Lake, June 1
  • Junkie Kid, June 8
  • Turnpike Troubadours, June 14
  • Bijou, June 15
  • Motez, June 21
  • Cuarenta y Cinco, June 23
  • Option4, July 13
  • Wyclef Jean, July 21
