Welfare check turns into homicide investigation in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque police launched a homicide investigation early Monday morning in northeast Albuquerque.

Officers responded to 1311 Louisiana Blvd. N.E., around midnight, to conduct a welfare check. When they arrived, officers found one person dead.

APD homicide detectives were dispatched to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

By KOB 4’s count, this is APD’s seventh homicide investigation this year.
