West Mesa Class of '68 greets school's newest graduates

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – It's a blast from the past you had to be there for to truly appreciate.


Friday night's West Mesa High School commencement featured an appearance from the Class of 1968 – the school's very first group of graduates.

And even though they walked the stage 50 years ago, they still see some similarities with the Class of 2018.

"We're still full of life, we're still learning and we're still experiencing things," said 1968 West Mesa graduate Karen Gallegos.

APS graduation ceremonies wrap up Saturday at Tingley Coliseum with Valley, Highland and Sandia high schools.
