ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - An Albuquerque woman is going to great lengths to make sure children on her block don't accidentally see child pornography.

"It's offensive to me and it could scar a little child for life,” said Judy Talley.

Talley says someone has been using the Little Free Library, which is steps from her house near Old Town, to store child porn.

“The photographs are graphic of adults having sex with little children," Talley said.

She said she wakes up early every morning to check the Little Free Library box to make sure kids don't find inappropriate images.

Talley reported the incident to police and they are investigating.

"Any type of child pornography is a felony and we have a child exploitation detail that would vet that,” said Albuquerque Police Department spokesperson Simon Drobik.

Talley doesn't believe this is an isolated incident. She says people have shut down their Free Little Libraries because of concerns about child porn.

Drobik said it’s crucial to call and report every time someone finds child porn. The best way is to call 242-COPS.
