I-25 was closed in both directions Saturday morning at Gibson while they looked into what happened. That stretch of highway has since been reopened.

According to police, a woman was walking across I-25 when a vehicle traveling south struck her. She died on the scene from her injuries.

Police say alcohol and speed were not factors in this crash and it appears to be "pedestrian error."

The woman has not yet been identified.
