ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The Lobo men’s basketball team split their roster down the middle for the annual Cherry & Silver game.

There were plenty of highlights throughout the night.

Team Cherry beat Team Silver in the scrimmage 58-54.

Makuach Maluach led all scorers with 23 points.

JaQuan Lyle took the top spot in the three point contest.

True freshman Emmanuel Kuac won the dunk contest.

"It feels good. I liked it. Good energy, 4,000 people out here tonight, it felt good,” Kuac said.

Lyle said this game is only getting him more excited for the season.

"I haven't played basketball like an organized game in front of people in a long time,” Lyle said. “It was fun to finally get out here and get my feet wet and I can't wait for the upcoming scrimmages and then the season.”

"Pretty special and pretty exciting to get out in front of the fans, just seeing what our team's about, seeing the people who we've added to the team,” said Carlton Bragg.
