The 6’9” forward from Hamilton Heights Academy in Tennessee got on the Lobos’ radar after verbally de-committing from Mississippi State.

"It seems like a big family here. It's gonna be everybody at the game, every single game, every single day,” he said. “So, this feels good. Thousands of people in the gym watching you play. NBA life."

Matos, who is originally from the Dominican Republic, said he would embrace the Hispanic Culture in New Mexico.
