Davie in no rush to name starting QB

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Lobo football team still hasn’t named a starting quarterback.

Coach Bob Davie said the quarterback competition may go through next week.

Extra live scrimmages are helping determine the entire depth chart.

“This final scrimmage here was really being able to come out of that and say who is ready to play in the game, who will actually play in the Sam Houston State game,” Davie said.

The Lobos begin their season on Aug. 31.
