ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Lobo head coach Bob Davie won’t be present for the upcoming against the Aggies Saturday.

Last month, Davie suffered from a health episode during the Lobo game against Sam Houston State. This is the second week in a row that Davie has been sidelined while Interim Head Coach Saga Tuitele takes the lead.

During a Wednesday practice, Tuitele said it was good having Davie at practice and that he looks forward to his official return.

"To have him back, almost full-go, hearing his voice and him getting after it and competing. Today was really good to have him back. It was nice — it's like he's back," Tuitele said.

Lobo quarterback Tevaka Tuioti said Davie has had a big influence on the team.

"You know, he has a tremendous impact on the team so you know him not being there he's with us spiritually so I know the guys are going to do great,” Tuioti said.

For now, UNM fans will have to wait awhile longer.
