ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Lobo linebackers faced a lot of adversity last year.

Alex Hart went down with a torn ACL, then top tackler Eva Tohi was suspended for the last four games.

A lot of new faces are competing for starting jobs like Coffeyville Junior College transfer James Lewis.

With Hart back on the field, linebackers are looking for a fresh start.

"Linebackers are just a group of guys who are coming in always ready to work," Hart said. "We always help each other as best as we can. They are a great group of guys to be around."

"We're all versatile, we can fly around," Lewis said. "Some of us are shorter than others, some of us are taller than others – but we all can play at each position."
