The Lobos held a 71-33-5 advantage over the Aggies.

UNM got the first break of the day when Aggie Josh Adkins got picked off by Lobo defensive back Jerrick Reed. Reed weaved his way for the touchdown to put the first points on the scoreboard.

The Lobos hit the Aggies with a big play when Jordan Kress made the grab and covered 56 yards for the touchdown, tying the game 24-24.

Before the half, the Aggies put seven points on the scoreboard after Josh Adkins passed to Troy Nicholson for the touchdown. The game was tied again 31-31.

The Lobos had the game won in the third quarter, maintaining the lead over the Aggies to the end.

Running back Ahmari Davis scored the final touchdown for the Lobos in the fourth quarter making the final score 55-52. The Lobos record now stands at 2-1 while the Aggies fall to 0-4.

A lot of Lobos stepped up to make the win for the team possible including Tevaka Tuioti. In his first start in over a year, he had a career high with 355 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.

"I got to give credit to the receivers. They're the ones that made the big plays. All I did was get the ball in their hands," Tuioti said.

Wide reciever Jordan Kress said Tuioti was throwing with confidence.

"He sees stuff differently. I mean honestly his throws were just there. He was confident in his arm," Kress said.

Head Coach Bob Davie is expected to make a return to the sidelines next week.

The Lobos will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to rematch with Liberty, a team that beat UNM last year.
