The Lobos beat Missouri and lost to nationally-ranked West Virginia.

Shai McGruder had a strong tournament with 16 points and eight steals in the finale.

“It was really a chance to see exactly where we are," McGruder said.

Aisia Robertson saw her first action of the year during the tournament. She was recovering from a torn ACL.

“We've already played some great teams down in Cancun so I feel like we're definitely battle tested,” Robertson said.

The Lobos will begin conference play at Boise State Wednesday night.
