ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The UNM men’s basketball team can clinch the seven seed in the Mountain West Conference Tournament if they win one of their two final games.

The seven seed is critical. It would allow the Lobos to avoid a game with San Diego State in the quarterfinals. The Aztecs are ranked fifth in the country.

The Lobos have lost nine of their last 11 games.

They are hoping a win over Air Force on Wednesday could help them turn the tide.

"We are going to be committed on one common goal and just be hungry," Zane Martin said.
